This is for a fall used athletic field that is non-irrigated. Compaction is issue, hence double core pull always, and decompose clippings into humus. MVP is a soil conditioner purchased by the bag – anti compaction and pulls water down and holds at root level. Turf type tall fescue is the only good choice to hold up under wear and lower maintenance. Tenacity will clean up broadleaf and post crab and goose so it will be clean for customer, as we cannot use a pre-emergent while seeding, and spring seeding is only way on fall used athletic fields. Fertility on an athletic field is more than on a lawn to hold up under usage. Use of potassium and sulfur in fall are key strategies for healthier, stronger turf.
